It is time to give your style a rebirth. This season Popissue dares you to stand out from the crowd with their new collection titled, ‘Feel Born Again’. Designer, Konrad Opala, has fused inspiration from the 80’s with his fashion nuance and European flair. The result? Sexy, rock’ n’ roll chic for the fashionably brave.
This season, Popissue for men is purely original. Opala has injected sex appeal into menswear with his use of transparent fabrics and lace panels. These new mediums give discerning fashion addicts an experimental way to dress. Imagine black transparent biker jackets and see through cotton evening shirts. Fierce. The 80’s inspiration is most evident in the acid wash denim and the intrusion of lurid colours. Our Tuesday Night’s Band Practice originated from, well, Tuesday night’s band practice. The Australian and British group’s actual band name is Tuesday Nights, and their clothing line was born out of many band practices spent practicing and chatting about clothes. The line is an almost identical reflection to the band members’ personal wardrobe- old school rock: leather, acid wash, tees, tanks, leather boots, and plenty of skulls...everywhere. This collection’s theme takes inspiration from, “ glory will only last one day, but obscurity will last forever.”

Saint Augustine Academy SS09/10 Collection - "Do you Believe Her?" Now Instore!

Well Summer has finally arrived and to the mark the occasion, we have just recieved the first delivery of Saint Augustine Academy's Summer 09/10 collection.

Currently in its eleventh season, “Do You Believe Her?” the latest collection from Sydney based label Saint Augustine Academy, further refines the Rock n' Roll inspired wares of designer Alvin Malano's earlier work.

Like his previous collections Malano takes inspiration from the intersection of music, fashion and youth culture lifting the collection's name from a song by Danish band The Raveonettes and imbuing his pieces with the track's mixed aesthetics: surf rock, mod and 60’s girl group.

The menswear, as usual, is a perfect mix of Don Draper power suiting and edgier rock inspired glam. It's hard to find a middle ground between the two but Malano does so with ease, offering an array of cropped shorts, dandy neckwear, tailored suit jackets and intricately detailed shirts. The end result? A playful school boy/geek-chic vibe that is a perfect Summer option for dapper gentlemen who find suits too stifling.

The highly anticipated winter range by Tuesday Night Band Practice from London is about to hit our shelves!

Tuesday Night Band Practice started out much as you'd expect: four designers who shared an obsession with music decided they should start a band.
They soon realised they weren't very good and decided to stick to their fashion label, Tuesday Night Band Practice.
The boys' brand takes its inspiration from the streets of Sydney and London (two of the designers are based in Sydney, two in LondonNamed 27,
The latest Winter 09 Collection has a strong focus on fabrics. They have use a special bio wash on the tshirts which gives them amazing softness and detailing.
High-quality shirting in cotton and silks, and tailored suiting in cotton drill and modal, as well as a range of leather boots and shoes.
There are also graphic tees that prove you can look like a rock star even if you can't sing.
The collection will be arriving next week.
